History

The Dutch Journal of Applied Linguistics (DuJAL) is the official journal of the Dutch association of applied linguistics (Anéla). DuJAL came into existence in 2012 as the digital continuation of Toegepaste Taalwetenschap in Artikelen (TTWiA). TTWiA was the official journal of Anéla for forty years. From 2012 to 2020, DuJAL was published by John Benjamins publishing company. It started to publish open access only in 2019. In 2021, the journal moved to a new publisher: openjournals.nl. This is a non-commercial platform for journals that operate under diamond open access principles.
