About the Journal

DuJAL


The Dutch Journal of Applied Linguistics (DuJAL) is the official journal of the Dutch Association of Applied Linguistics (Anéla). It publishes research on (second) language use, learning, teaching and policy and particularly values both theoretically and practically driven research that is of societal relevance. Read more about Dujal's scope and mission here.

DuJAL encourages open science, allows for publication of instruments and data, and publishes on a rolling basis.

Junior research day: 29 May 2026

The annual Anéla/VIOT Juniorendag (junior research day) will take place at the University of Amsterdam on Friday 29 May 2026. BA and MA students, recent graduates, and PhD candidates will have the opportunity to present their research in the field of applied linguistics (language use, language acquisition, language education, language proficiency, or communication) during the Juniorendag.
